The application will be online on November 14, 2011 and must be submitted by February 6, 2012.

Recipients of this four year scholarship are selected on the basis of academic achievement, financial need, and outstanding traits such as school and community service, creative expression, and leadership.

Eligibility for the 2012 Seinfeld Scholarship Program

Applicants for the Seinfeld Scholarship must be:

  • United States citizen or legal resident graduating in June (of the year in which the scholarships are being awarded) from a New York City public high school located in the borough(s) that are selected by the Foundation for eligibility. In the fall of 2011, we will be accepting applications from students graduating from a Bronx public high school in spring of 2012.
  • Graduating with a cumulative grade point average of not less than 85.
  • Planning to enroll, upon graduation, in a full-time course of study leading to a bachelor's degree at an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Able to demonstrate financial need. Total family income should be less than $60,000.
  • Have filed FAFSA forms
  • Legal Resident of New York City ( Citizen or Alien Card Holder)

The scholarship awards are based on various criteria such as borough of residence, academic standing, and financial need. An application is not a guarantee of an award, nor is being asked to interview. With this in mind, please make the necessary arrangements to meet your financial needs without consideration of this award. All scholarships are subject to the Foundation's verification of the recipient's academic qualifications and his/her continued satisfactory academic progress. Scholarships are awarded for specific academic periods and recipients cannot defer the scholarship.
